According to ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) interior designers should receive their education from a CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) qualified schools. There is also an NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) to test interior designers. After passing this difficult exam they can use the professional addition of ASID to their name.
